Just wanted to let everyone know I’m off to Tuscany & Rome for an amazing culinary adventure with my friends from Transat Holiday’s. This is my second trip to Tuscany and I cant wait to bring back more inspiration for my recipes and enthusiasm for all things Italian! Well friends I’m off tomorrow to the Yukon, Whitehorse to be exact going to be working with The Yukon Hospital Foundation to raise money for an MRI machine. The event is called Epicurious: A taste of the Yukon and I will be joined by TOP CHEF 2011 winner Dale MacKay and 2012 contestant Jimmy Stewart in A TOP CHEF YUKON “fun” competition.

Just wanted to let everyone know that my Food & Wine Tour of Tuscany & Rome in May has SOLD OUT! I am so looking forward to returning in a couple of months. For those of you who are coming you are in for the time of your life! Tuscany for me was a life changing food experience.

Tonight, I went to Ruby Watchco in Toronto for Lynn Crawfords book launch. Lynn has just released her cookbook “Pitchin In” based on her amazing Food Network show.

a great time was had by all…and the cookbook is amazing…BUY IT!

Last night I made pizza five ways. last year when I was in Tuscany I learned that simplicity in ALL food is the most important thing. in Florence I made pizza and the oven temperature was close to 700 degrees which made the crust crisp on the outside and soft in the centre AND it was razor thin! I made a beautiful tomato sauce and had the oven at it’s maximum temperature 550 degrees, so good!
